Hi all, just a quick check, I'm just wondering if it at all possible for me to replace the ladder diffuser in Nutrafin Co2 with a ADA-look-alike standard glass diffuser?
http://www.adgshop.com/Pollen_Glass_Large_30_p/102-107.htm. The ladder seems to be taking quite a bit of space in my aquarium ... and if possible do i need to get a bubble counter as well?

Thanks in advance.

With 1 bottle you would need a small one.

Take 3 bottles or so to get the size you lined to working with yeast setups.

sorry don't quite understand, yeas I am only going for 1 canister of Nutrafin co2.
when you mention a small one are you referring to a bubble counter?

No.

You have linked to a diffuser which is ideally for pressurised CO2. It would however work with 2-3 yeast kits if they were working well.

For you to use 1 bottle it would not work with the diffuser you have linked to as it would need too much pressure, however it would work with a smaller one like this:

ok got it ... so just 1 canister does not have enough pressure to push through the diffuser ... unless i add more bottles or else i should just stick with the ladder.

The one you linked to is bigger and has a larger ceramic disc in the centre therefore 1 cannister would be unlikely to be create enough pressure to push through the disc. the gas is having to push through whilst the tank water is trying trying to come the other way!!

The one I linked to has a smaller disc and therefore 1 cannister would most likely be able to create the lower pressure that this one would require.
