If the end of the world came, what would survive in your planted tank? Me, I have my money on Malaysian Trumpet Snails and my Java Ferns. So, I believe that MTSs, Java Fern, and the Roaches will inherit the earth. How do you kill these freakin' things? Answer...you can't. I had MTSs in a cooloer full of wet substrate for over a month. When I filled a tank for my father, the temperature was 50 degrees F. As soon as the temp reached the 60s, up came about a hundred MTSs. They simply can't be killed. I hope these pond snails are far more destructable, as some plant seller sent them with a recent order. Got assassins on the way, and I hope Botia Striata will eat them easily.

Try Mattlee, he's got MTS and asking £2 postage, have a look in the tropical uk livestock section...
