Saw some "Kerri Tetras"at wholesale tropicals yesterday lunchtime.

What do they look like.........well markings pretty well the same as Danio Kerri................

(Yes it was a Characin)

So now we have tetras named after Danios

I have 6 kerri tetras. I think they look very similar to the emperor tetra (I have 5 of them as well) as they have the same purple stripe. The tails are different and the size is different otherwise I would not be able to tell them apart.

I don't think I have ever seen a kerri danio. I keep blue danios and zebra danios and have seen giant, leopard and pearl danios but...

blue danios are danio kerri that is their scientific name
just to clear that up :)

HA, that's what I thought but I bought them a while ago and wasn't sure about their scientific name.
But isn't it brachydanio?

the addition of brachy is nolonger a valid name
all brachydanios are now refered to as danio.
