What is the chance that all 10 fry will grow up and survive. Molly fry and 1 guppy fry. Last time i went all wrong and now have 1 left out of around 7. So please help me get this right any advice. And they are laying on the gravel in the nrt is this normal?

How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

45 US galllons.
9 ornage sailfin molly fry.
1guppy fry.
pH - 7.8. - 8.0
nno2 and ammonioa - 0
no3 - 5-10

Them breeding nets are not ideal.
Are they laying on there sides.
Hows there breathing.

why not and what else do you recommend?
let me check. 4 dead rest arn't laying on sides. some av been crshed by gravel.

Have you removed the dead ones.
The crushed ones are they dead.
Don't know why you need gravel at the bottom of the net.
I would let them go in the main tank and let them take there chances.
Do you have plenty of plants and hiding spaces in the tank.

Yes i fed the dead ones is that bad? sOME ARE SOME AREN'T.. Either do i i but i ujust removewd it. yes i ave lots of hiding spaces but i would never see them and how would they feed?

I woudln't feed dead fish they can have deseases plus fish don't get much nutrients out of them anyway.
They will live of the flakes if you crush them, and baby brime strimp.

Yeah but when they woulf go to the top they would get eaten. Plus anyway they wouldn't come to the top so thye would starve.

They find the food in the plants, ive had fry and they did ok.
Floating plants at the top of the tank.

Oh okay would they have a better chance in the net if not can you explain why? And woiuld u know if pets @ home do floating plants?

I have 1 fry in the community tank thats eating something on the plants she is now bigger than her sisters in the nets

Why not buy a little fry tank there not that expensive if you buy the plastic ones.
If the nets small it would of been no room for them.
Just use a plastic plants, remove the bottom bits that you put in the gravel and just float it at the top of the tank.
I had loads of fry that would hide up in the plants, till I bought a fry tank.

kk well i ahve to wait till christmas. I am getting a quarintine tank / hospital tank for christmas and am gonna make one of those 5 miunte sponge filters with a 25 watt heater. And i'm gonna get a betta tank with 5 minute sponge filter and anotha 25 watt heater. And i don't know how i'll afford another fry tank. Any recommendatyions on cheap filters, heaters, what i'll need etc.
