Parrots can get fairly large. their average size is about 6-8 inches but can become larger. At the least they need a 30 gallon tank. But to be more comfortable they should be in a 55-75 gallon tank. They aren't picky eaters. I feed mine flakes and cichlid pellets. And in the summer I'll go outside and even dig them up some worms. they seem to enjoy those too. They also like blood worms. They are very messy eaters so if you decide to get some you may want to clean the tank more frequently. They are fine with most fish and are good in comunity tanks. But you may want to keep an on those plecos. Sometimes they decide that the side of your parrot looks like a nice yummy place to suck. Parrots can be very territorial when they are breeding. And may keep all your other fish on the other side of the tank. They may lay eggs but most of the time they will not hatch and fungus will grow on them. Parrots can live up to 10 years and are very sociable fish. After they get used to their surroundings they will swim right up to the glass and look at you, follow your finger, and even follow you when you walk away.
