so, just finished remodeling our tank and moved everyone in together. all of our fish are happily playing throughout the tank mostly middle to bottom. but one of my pregnant mollies (have 3 preggo mollies and 2 preggo platys) is just hanging out at the top of the tank by our heater. wondering what could be wrong with her? she was just fine in our other tank and both temps were about even (about 75ish) and they have the same water as we started our new tank with our old tank water a long while ago. is this normal behavior or should i be worried?

Hos does her stomach look like? Is it more square than round?

My mollies usually went behind my internal filters to give birth. She may be looking for a place where she is more safe to do that, or where there is a place for the newborns to hide. For example, because my mollies gave birth behind filters, the babies stayed on top of them. That was really smart, because there usually was only 1 cm of water on top of the filters, which was enough for babies but too little for any other fishes. :D

:( im out of my test strips and ususally test biweekly but i cannot find my paper that i wrote my last numbers down. last time i checked tho i know nothing was outta the norm. gotta wait till payday to get more testing supplies. **bad fishy keeper**

thankfully though she is back to normal. by the time i went to bed last night she was back down hanging around the bottom of the tank with everyone else. thank you everyone for the quick replys!! was really kind if worried there.

all there tummy's look pretty good. i for sure have 4 pregnant. 3 female mollies and 1 female platy. the only one that has a roundish looking tummy is my small female mollie. should i be worried about that? i figured it was just becasuse she might be more towards the beginning of her being pregnant where as everyone else will probably pop soon.

Mollies and platies a quite round even when not pregnant. :)
