One very quick question, the sick neon is definately on its way out the poor thing but has lasted longer than expected. There have been no symptoms in the other 9 they are abit confused by the new surroundings but otherwise good, how long should I keep them quaranteened until considered safe to place back in the community tank?

It could be at least 2 months.
If no other fish show signs of ntd in 4 weeks, it might be ok to add them back to main tank.

Thanks so much hon, it isnt pleasant he is still here but checking him regularly and trying to keep as comfortable and quiet as possible xx

Well he has been on his side for 3 days and hasnt eaten in about 5, I decided to euthanise him with clove oil and he went in seconds quite peacefully poor little man, cant believe how long he held on especially with the fact he hadnt moved from one spot in 3 days and only signs of life was gills and fanning of fins. The other 9 are doing well and so roll on 4 weeks of quaranteening to see if anything develops, week one almost over.

Just a very quick update have counted 3 weeks from when noticed the first symptom (which was yesterday) and so another week to go and fingers crossed all good to reintroduce to the tank?

Once the month's up get back to the board and we will go from there.
