Not Sure If Asked This Before But Can I

One thing was going to also ask, is it worth me separating the shoal entirely and having them in a 5 or 10g quarantine tank as only one neon seemingly affected so far?

Yes it would be good to issolate them. But can't guarantee no other fish will be infected.
Read that even a fish sucking up an infected neon poo can get infected.

Thanks hon, as always they are in bed now. Will set up a tank with heater and filter for them tomorrow and really siphon up the place and do couple of water changes over the coming days. Going to keep the ill neon by himself to ensure that he cant affect any others. I do have a 10g but need to check over for cracks, thinking a 5g is going to be way too small for 9 of them temporarily? I have some silk plants to add but it will be sparse.

Neons are small waste producers so you might get away with a 5 gal.

If can go for the 10 gallon if can but if not the 5 back up :good: Thanks so much Wilder. Forgot to ask did you ever find out how it was introduced to your tank (if you really dont mind me asking xx)

I had six neons for about nearly 7 months and decided to make the shoal bigger.
The second bunch fetched ntd into my tank.
My own fault should of quarantined them. You learn by your mistakes.

Oh hon, I certainly have learnt by mine and continuing to learn. Sorry again for your losses hon xx

Good Luck with yours.
it never rains but pours.

Well update, transferred the 9 into the 10g (thankfully no cracks) the ill loner is still hanging in there but not looking good. Here are pics of them when transferring:

The look healthy enough to me.
Don't no if it's the pic but can you see a slight white discolouration in the red area, on two of the neons.

The tub had a lot of water marks and dents to it, are you referring to the 3rd pic with the one on the left hadn side foremost pointing to the left? Hopefully with them in quarantine now I can see if anything develops much more clearly and have it contained if so xx Thanks so much hon x

I see what you mean now.
It must of been the marks on the tank.

It could be though might be the fish!! Can keep an eye on at least and feel better for separating them. xx

Good luck lilacamy.
