OK, so at the moment I have 5 Yellow Tail Rasboras (~2 inches each), 3 males guppies, 2 young ancistrus (~1inch each) and 1 red wagtail platy. I also have 4 amano shrimp.

All of these guys are in a 125L planted tank and I use a Fluval 3Plus filter. Water stats are great and I do a 20% water change once a week (with a little gravel vaccing).

I was keen on getting an Indian/banded gourami but after a trip to the LFS for some more food I've changed my mind. They had the most brilliant Silver Sailfin Mollies (~2 inches) as well as some beautiful German Blue Rams (~1 1/2 inches).

If it was possible I'd love to add one sailfin molly and a pair of rams. Sticking to the "1 inch per gallon" rule I still have room (even accounting for the pair of ancistrus to grow to 4-5 inches each).

Does this sound OK? I wanted to see what some more experienced fish keepers thought before I add these fish. Also, is it possible to keep just one ram? I keep reading about them in pairs.

Thanks, Andy

I would get a pair of rams and leave the molly, they need salt in their water.
