Not Happy

came home from work today and it would appear my blue acara has been in a fight. . hes lost a big scale right in the middle of his forehead. not worried about infection etc as i keep tip top water but will it heal back to how he was or is my beautiful boy scarred fore life?

It should clear right up, do an extra w/c or so and it wont take long.

Any idea who the culprit was?

yep id bet money it was 1 of my spirulus. as he used to bully them untill 1 day 1 turned round and gave it back to him. nowadays hes always squaring up to them and flaring his gills in some kind of mexican standoff. so i rekon he pushed it too far and got a slap.

lol yeah you always seem to end up with angry fish nelly. ive been lucky so far . only the odd incident. i can deal with the odd bit of agression. was just a bit miffed my pretty boys got a big white "love bite"

Hehe, sorry to hear that Mark. Might be worth popping in a bit of melafix in with the water (and as minx says maybe an extra wc or two) - a lot of people swear by the stuff for general war wounds.

il give it a couple of days and see how it heals. i dont like to ad meds unless absolutely needed.
