HI i just got a 10gallon tank and 2 small goldfish. i setup everything up. hopefully got right addtives and everything.
do i need to put the heater because i got in the box it looks like this, and i dont no how mutch temperature
i have freshwater.

Glad to have you with us.

Goldfish are coldwater fish, so chances are that you will not need a heater. However, that is true only if the temperature remains relatively constant and does not drop too much...

Also, the general "rule" is one goldfish per 10 gallons, but I'm sure you can get away with two for a time provided you do ample water changes.

By the way, what type of goldfish do you have?
 
oh they are just normal goldfish i got them at petsmart.
i see ur from Schaumburg, Il same here.
 
did you cycle the tank before adding the goldfish?
do you have a good filter?

if they are common goldfish (like a comet) they'll outgrow your 10 gallon quite quickly
fancies might be ok for a little longer

really? only one gold fish per 10g?
i have a 20g that i'm in the process of setting up... the cycling seems pretty hard though... i hope i do it right...
