I am goind down lfs in a while, when it stops thundering and raining just to see if any bettas are in...yellow one fingers crossed!

No new fish as "they havent sold the others yet." That red dragon is to die for but I need a yellow fish so I didnt buy him. I pointed out to the sales assistant that the hm pk like the one I got has got a bit of tail rot. "He keeps getting out the trap" was the reply, "and getting bitten." I then came out as he was telling me that he was going to set up one of these £75 glass cubes with light over it and put a betta in. I did say it will jump out he says no will be ok Ill put lots of plants in.

When I got Swizzles on monday there was a betta in a tank (which is unusual, they usually have them in bags floating in with other fish) and I saw him a couple of weeks ago and he looked like he had fin rot, but I don't know that much and was unsure, so, as I saw someone who worked there passing behind me, I said to hubby "he is lovely, but he is in a terrible state, hopefully they'll see to him". Anyways on monday I saw him again, and there was nothing left of him, practically finless and some kind of shrimpy type thing was feeding on him on the bottom of the tank.... hence why I came home with swizzles. EVIL GARDEN CENTRE! argh! It is so so sad.

They dont seem to be selling many bettas round here at the moment, probably because I am not buying any But the 2 lads at the lfs admitted they dont like bettas much anyway!

Yeah, try and find one online. I know joby is trying to spawn a yellow CT at the moment... she might have some in a few months

Hah, anyone who wants a yellow CT should come to the Petco near me; there's a ton of 'em. I have a yellow CT from there, some little brat of a child was shaking him violently, and it freaked him out so badly that he ate half of his tail right there in front of me. I took him home, obviously. I also saw a nice yellow DTCT that was to die for last time I was there, but I have 26 bettas, and that many 5 gallon tanks in one room doesn't leave much space for impulse buys.
