Noisy Filter!

With my tank being in my bedroom, I'd like it to be as quiet as I can get it. I can cope with it, but I'd like to know if there is any way to stop it from vibrating against the glass? Maybe moving it to a different position?
Any advice it much appreciated

Try getting something to act as a cushion between the filter and the glass, something like a piece of sponge should do the trick

Assuming it`s an internal, some things you can try
Clean the impeller and impeller housing
Check that the filter is fitted plumb and that no part of the housing, pipes or spraybar is touching the glass
You can buy sucker things to hold the wire away from the lid and glass

Funny how once you hear it you just can`t ignore it !!!

Yeah, it is internal.
I'll try cleaning it soon. I don't want to stress the fish out too much as I plan on moving things around when putting in some bog wood, though I suppose that that would be the best time to do it. Sort of all in one go.
To try and hold the wire away from the lid I put some blu-tac in the little hole where it goes through the lid. I think it's worked, though the noise of the vibration on the glass drowned out any improvement made
