Nocturnal Snail?

My mystery snail stays in one spot all day long and only starts moving around at night. Is this normal behavior for a snail?

Most snails are more nocturnal although mine were reasonably active during the day also but I only had 1 wpg of lighting. How much lighting do you have?

My light is 19 watts.

What size is your tank? Snails are nocturnal to a degree, but will happily move around in daylight as well. What else is in the tank?
