Nobby is one of the juvies that survived our mysterious outbreak which killed alot of them over Xmas. He suffered with very clamped fins which has left them kinked. He was also very very thin and I really didn't think he'd make it. I almost euthanised him as he looked so sickly but the fact that he always perked up when he saw me and was eating well changed my mind. Right or wrong I decided to give him a chance. He is still small and I doubt he'll reach full size. Apart from looking odd he is a real character and very active and eats well.

This won't be first come first served. He'll only go to someone we feel will give him the best quality of life in a tank of his own. For that reason we don't want any money for him, just a loving home. I would love to keep him but we just don't have the room with the fry which are growing fast.

If anyone feels that they would like to take my little special needs boy on then please pm me.

This is Nobby

Wow I think he's beautiful anyone who gets him will be very lucky!

So do I understand it then that now Nobby is perfectly healthy even if he had a rough ride? (Lasting fin damage etc not included)

Thanks Tilly.....it's taken alot to actually dedide to part with him but he deserves someone that will give the extra time and attention that he deserves.

Devorax.....yes he is healthy and active but is very small so purely cosmetic if you know what I mean.

Yes we will post him and will cover all the costs :good:

Thanks Honeythorn.......he was just one that I couldn't bring myself to give up on. He's such a happy little guy.

He's also one of our babies from our dragon cross spawn, hence the metalic scaling.

What kind of home are you wanting for him? An owner that knows enough to keep him well, an owner that knows almost everything there is to know about bettas, or a breeder? What size tank would you like him to have? I only ask because it saves everyone else wondering and if the answers are right then it wouldn't be too much work for me to have one more iddy biddy betta by himself.....lol

if the fact we live on opposite sides of the world i would offer to take him.
i am sure he sill find a good home.

Thanks Devorax but a lovely home has been offered to him now.

Liz2 has offered to take him on and I know she has lots of experience especially with special needs Bettas. I'm sure he'll be a very happy little boy with her :D

Hiya

Just found out Netty is giving away our fish LOL Nah, thats ok :good:

Thanks to everyone for their interest :good: We'll keep you other guys in mind, and should we have any more we will let you know first

sorry to go off topic a bit...My newest rescued boy has the same type of fin "deformity"...he is all feathery around the edges...like a ruffle...and very tiny too, although his fins are growing great after having him around 2 months, but his body is very tiny, and as i mentioned has the ruffly edged fins...what do you think could have been a likely cause?
your boy certainly is adorable!!!
