Well,

Here's my second attempt of starting up a tropical aquarium...

What do you think? I've got a piece of wood to go in too, but it's currently soaking since it's still full of air.

No fish will be in here until its fully cycled and safe to do so!

I'm pretty chuffed with my second ever attempt of setting up an aquarium. I'll post some more pics when the woods in and I've got a couple extra plants in there,

Cheers all,

Ryan

i think it looks amazing, what size is the piece of wood? as i think it looks good as it is?

what stocking u thinking?

Thanks all...

I was going to put the 12" piece of wood in branching from one gravel part to the other (bridging the sand). I'll take some pics when it's in to see what you think.

Just added the wood and a couple of extra little stones, what do you lot think?

It'll give some shelter and food source for my Plec, when I get some fish....

PS: It looks a lot better in the flesh, the pic came out really dark for some reason...

That looks really awesome. I love the two different kinds of substrate :)

Tanks looks great but dont expect the 2 gravels to stay septate once you get a plec. If there not happy with a hiding spot they will dig there own i have 3 big patches of glass in my tank 2 where my bns hide and one infront of where they spawn and no matter how many times i filled them in they just re dig them and that will be a pain to separate the gravel once they get mixed.
