This is my first time to try breeding my bettas. I've read a bunch of stuff and followed the usual info. My problem is, the male doesn't seem to be building a bubble nest. I put in the styro cup, but he just keeps flaring at the female (who's in the tank but on the other side of the divider). She's showing stripes. Do you guys have any suggestions? Can they spawn even without a nest?

ehh.... give him more time, hes probably a noobie, if he doesn't figure it out remove the girls vase from the tank for a day and then put her back in
