I'm currently on day 23 of my fishless cycle which I've been updating daily on the thread below;

It looks as if my nitrites are hitting 0 in around 14 hours (checked at 9.00 this morning and was 0.25 @ 12 hrs) so I will check hourly today to confirm. Ammonia is hitting 0 within 12 hours and has been doing so for the last 10 days. Nitrite spiked 10 days ago and hit 0 for the first time 3 days ago.
Basically what I wanted to know is at the moment I am leaving 24 hours between re-dosing ammonia to bring back up to 2.0ppm. Should I now be re-dosing when the nitrites hit 0 (obviously with a min of 12 hours if req) e.g at 14/15 hours etc. tbh I would rather do it at 12 hour intervals at the moment e.g 8.00 & 20.00 as this suites my working times and also I'm pretty poorly with chicken pox at the moment (first time in 42 years!).
Hope this makes sense because as I said I'm pretty ill at the moment!!!!!
As an afterthought maybe I could put a low amount of ammonia in e.g 1ml just to make things tick over until the evening?
