Nitrite High But Fish Not Gasping

do a 90% water change then immediately check the nitrites. if it is anything but 0, do another water change.


right , i have given up !!! , for the sake of the neons that is , i have removed the sand and plants , and done 2 95% water changes today , going to test the water tomorrow and keep doing at least 50% changes till the tank cycles , to be honest i am a bit pissed off at the advice the lfs gave me , as much for the poor neons as for the effort i have had to put in , onwards and upwards though :thumbs:
 
Just keep up with the water changes and it will be over. It will get to the point where you will have to change less amounts and less frequently. Its hard work, but in the end it will be worth it! Keep us posted and we will try our best to help you through it!
