Nitrite At 1.0 ... Help

blast!!! it has risen again it took 8 hours to get to 0.25 yesteday and then when tested this morning it came back at 0.50, whats causing this? and why is the filter not dealing with it even after moving the mature media over?
the dp seems fine though, but i bet he is stressed

anyone help me?

ok, now it has gone back up to 1 again, a sharp rise from the 0.25-0.5 2 days ago, is this spiking?
