Nitrite/algae Problem!

Hi Kerri,

Ah that is a shame. Its odd though that ammonia and nitrate levels were ok and the nitrite was so high. If there was sufficient bacteria to breakdown the ammonia, one would think that there would have been enough to break down the nitrite too.

Perhaps getting live rock would be the better option next time?

sorry to hear that kerri, i would agree with everyone about the LR and/or skimmer, you need atleast one of the two.. good luck when you guys try again.

We are hoping to purchase Live Rock and Skimmer this weekend so fingers crossed things will work out from now on.
