My nitrate reading is 0.25, which is the highest its ever been - is this ok, whats caused it to rise and do I need to do anything about it??

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0.25
PH 8
GH 16
KH 6

Thanks in advance.

Water changes will remove nitrates. If the .25 is ppm, it's nothing to be worried about.

My nitrates never get much below 80 ppm, 0.25 is nothing to worry about. You have a planted tank so the plants will welcome the nitrate as fertiliser
Water changes are the best bet for diluting nitrates.

Steve :)

Ok, thanks for that - is this why I have some algae growth on the glass aswell?
