Hi

My tank over the months has become pretty heavily planted and iv jus spent another £50 on plants which will arrive next week:)
Iv also jus invested in some good ferts. I went for easy life. I got ProFito (plant food), Potassium, Ferro (Iron), EasyCarb (Carbon), Fosfo (Phosphates) and Nitro (Nitrate)

My question is this....
What ppm ideally should I keep my Phosphates and Nitrates at in a well planted tank?

Just dose as per the instructions on the bottles, if you were dosing EI, you'd be dosing 5PPM every other day for Nitrate coupled with 1PPM for Phosphate every other day if memory serves me correctly.

The only directions on the nitrate and phosphate ferts is how much to add per litre to achieve 1ppm. It doesnt say what the ideal nitrate and phosphate level should be in a planted tank. Im guessing the ideal phosphate level is 1ppm. If I kept a constant reading of say 10-20ppm of nitrate, would that be ok. Im sure il find out myself how often to dose I just need to know what to dose to as my nitrates are always dropping.

If it were me I'd dose 1PPM of P every other day and 5PPM of N+K every other day, this should give you the values you require.

Thanx il give that ago
