If a fish has a few nip marks out their fins, do the fins recover and grow back? Or is the fish left with the perminantly missing chunks/tears.

Also is their anything to help the repair, eg higher protein feeds or live foods for a week or so, or does it not make a difference?

Thanks.

With good clean water, nipped fins should grow back.
Do you know which fish you have that is doing the nipping?

It was in with a batch that i got from a local fish shop, its a fancy tailed guppy, but they are in a low stocked tank now, and no issues i have been keeping an eye on him, just he has 2 marks out his tail. None of the other fish have been nipping in my tanks.

Is their any time scale? just curiosity more than anything else if the issue happens again i know for future reference.
