Nightmare I Had Relevant To Fish Keeping

Hello Folks!
 
So I am going to share with you a nightmare I had yesterday night that you'll hopefully get a kick out of.
 
In my dream, I had just set up two beautiful 20 gallon aquariums at my grandma's house.  Why? I don't know.  Guess I love fishies.  So after a lot of hard work, I had two wonderful freshwater tropical community tanks.  They were understocked with lively fish and had plenty of live plants.  Anyway, I headed home to sleep after my work was done. 
 
The next day, I go back to my grandma's house to check on the fishies and I find out something horrible has happened.  My crazy uncle (I don't actually have a crazy uncle... wait no they're all crazy) had:
1. Overstocked my community tanks with large predatory fish and
2. Set up two uncycled 50 gallon bowfronts, each with about 100 lionhead goldfish in them
 
I was irritated and asked him, "Why would you put fish into my tanks?  Half of them are dead already and they are overstocked.  And why did you put two more tanks in here, each one severely overstocked?"  I told him he'd have to bring almost all the goldfish back to the store.  He told me, "No returns." 
 
I started explain the general one inch of fish per gallon rule and cycling the tank for bacteria.  I also said that gold fish grow very large.  My entire family laughed at me and said I doing too much.  "They're just FISH!" they said, "Who cares anyway?"
 
I became more furious and started ranting and ranting until I woke up.

Oh dear, I think you might have a serious problem if you're even dreaming about fish

I've not had any fish-related dreams... yet. I'll tell you if I do though!

I'll probably end up being shrunk somehow and be eaten by an Oscar or something

I frequently have dreams that I wake up and check my tanks only to find that every single fish is dead.

When I was living in the dorms, I had my roommate feed my fish for a few days while I was out of town. Every night I was gone I had a dream that he flushed all my fish while thy were alive, or that he'd let them all die. I had to go back to school early I was so nervous.

If I'm up feeding little baby in the night, quite often I check the forum to stay awake - always results in me then dreaming about fish and the forum - how sad is that?!!!

It depends on if you're dreaming about fish, the posts, the posters or a combination/all of the the three!

I remember dreaming about having three goldfish and some other fish I can't remember the name of in a like tall drinking glass, so show I set the tank up as a tropical and the goldfish went black and that's all I remember, it was rather creepy! Especially considering I wasn't even into fish keeping then!
One thing I've learned: dreams are very random! Haha some are the most weirdest!

I've only had fish for a month and I've been having fishy dreams already.  They usually involve me buying a couple of big four-foot tanks and getting to set it up any way i like... I get the nice fish dreams but not the nightmares... yet

I had a nasty fish related dream not long a go, wasn't the first one either :') dreamt I had a huge tank along one side of my bedroom with clown loach in there, it was a beautiful planted established tank covering the whole of one side of my room!, so it was water change day and i had just came back home went upstairs excited to see my huge tank and then the horror and shock began, i stood there the lights were out and there was like a cm of water on the bottom of the tank the filter was dry as a bone and all my fish were there flipping about so i went a bit mental for a moment shouting and screaming to myself!! then my mum passed by, i said what the hell has happened, and she said oh i knew it was maintenance day so i bleached out the tank and emptied all the dirty water (obviously just trying to help) then i got really mad/upset and i just remember saying how long it took me to get it to such a good looking state and now its all just time i wasted and i just kept repeating it, was like the saddest moment ever, i do have good fishy dreams too though hahaha

I don't trust mine either though, not even with squishing snails. Whenever she shouts upstairs to tell me about them, I run straight down before she puts her dirty (to me and my tank) hands in!

I had a dream the other night that while I was gone my roommate decided to rearrange our room but to do so she drained my 10g so that there was just enough water for the fish to swim upright, let my fry escape their box in the process, and then just left the drained tank until I came back. I was very happy when I woke up and saw that they were all actually okay.

Looks like a lot of us get nervous about housemates/roommates and our beloved fishies.  I will be parting with my fishies for a while over the summer and thus be leaving them in the hands of another.  No doubt more nightmares shall follow!
