When I looked in my tank this morning one of my male guppies appeared to have died and was lying on his side on the substrate. I was a bit gutted as this guy is spectacular, really nice pattern / colours. I spent about ten minutes away from the tank and returned with my net to get him out and couldn't see him anywhere, I looked literally everywhere. Confused, I had a cup of tea and decided to do a water change and clean one of the rocks I had in there, figuring he must have got stuck underneath it some how and that's why I hadn't seen him.

When I returned to the tank - 40 mins after first discovering him lying on the floor, he's swimming around like nothing had happened?! WTH? I've been keeping an eye on him all day and he's acting completely normal. Has anyone else seen such tomfoolery with guppies before?

Just to add I did all the usual drop test kit stuff and water parameters are all okay, is this guy just attention seeking?

One of my cherry barbs got stuck and seriously hurt himself. For about 30 mins he could barely swim and then he slowwwly got back to normal. Took a good 3 days for him to be swimming with the others though
