moonglow lights where developed by G E thorn with intepet. for creating a dim light for seing catfish and other elusive fish. Not as an instense light as the Marine actinic blue version. which is used with the white light for marine corals( so i believe).

Great lights for catfish and plecs and other fish, not bright just gives a nice dim aquarium for veiwing those great fish we all keep. Well worth getting if you keep a lot of catfish and plecs.

You mean there is still hope in me seeing those cat fish that NEVER come out. Only way to see them is mornings like this one. Up really, really early.
and would you believe, they are sleeping. lolol

I would use an actinic tube for night viewing it brings the colours out a lot better than the blue moon tubes as well as that the blue moon tubes loose there blueness after a short period of operration

may look at an actinic light if i can find a cheap apair for tanks

Wacky does it bring out lots of green in plants or blue ish ?

The marine ones doing my head in now, maybe i need some red plants to kill the greeness ?
