Newjet Nj1200 Multi Pump

Hi guys, im looking for a new pump to use on a closed loop system, it needs to be quiet and around 1000lph, i thought this new jet 1200 would do the job, what do you think of it, is it quiet?

or maybe other suggestions for a pump

Yeah I have used this pump before. The head lose on it is quite bad so if you have to pump the water up any great distance you wont be getting 1000lph.

I have had mine as a submersible pump and it is very quite, not the most energy efficient pump in the world but it is cheap and it does the job.

I have also used the newjet 400 and 800 pumps and they have worked great too.

cheers mate, umming and aaring over this pump tbh, theres a little voice in the back of my head telling me, if its cheap, its cheap for a reason, i will have a think about it, thanks for your help

Yeah I thought that too. Had three of these pumps running on and off for over 2 years now (in marine tanks with next to no maintenance) and they are still ticking along nicely. Like I said the only thing I would fault them on is that the don't cope well with back pressure so if you need it to pump water up more then a couple of foot the headloss might be an issue.
