Forgot to ask in my last post

I have an open top fish tank and was wondering about water evaporation?

How quick is my water expected to evaporate

Also is there any other problems other than fish jumping out?

It will vary by season and humidity. Besides fish jumping out, things can go in...

Far too many variables to be able to determine evaporation rate like tank lighting, room temp, etc. so it will be case of wait and see.

As for issues with open tops.....fish jumping, foreign contaminants, noise, etc. but nothing that can't be overcome one way or the other.

it would also make it easier for snails to get in, if you have real plants to attract them
