Hi guys, another newbie to the forum !! I've got a 130 litre tank which will shortly house 6no neons & 2no guppies that i've got in a fully cycled 28 litre tank.

I've got a few questions :
1) whens the best time to put plants in - before the fish or do i wait a few weeks ? i've read up on it & find conflicting answers
2) I'd like to slowly introduce different species, already got my eye on some harlequin rasporas, what other types of tetra / other fish could i get ? do all tetras get on in a community tank ?
3) am i ok to transfer 50% of my water into the new tank ?
4) would it be benificial to run my current internal filter in the new tank for a while until the bigger filter gets up to speed?

any comments gratefully received !!

Erm, I'm not very good at choosing fish and all that jazz, but swap some media from your other tank and put it in the one you're setting up to speed stuff up!:') Welcome to the forum!

I'd add the plants before adding the fish, as adding them just after you've put fish in will cause them to stress.
Running your current filter in the new tank is fine if you're just transferring the fish you already have
When you add any new fish, keep an eye on your water stats just in case you get any spikes
