Hi, Just introducing myself.

My tanks

40 imperial gallons

6 Discus
6 5 Striped barbs
5 Clown Loaches
4 Rams
2 Firemouth
2 Silver Dollars
6 Corys
1 Baby Bristlenose
1 Peckoltia
1 Adult King Tiger Plec
1 Red Betta

25 Gallon Cube

2 Angels
5 Corys
1 baby bristlenose

8 Gallon bio-orb

1 Blue Betta
10 neons and various other small tetra's

I will try and get some pics, I just bought the King Tiger Plec and he's beautiful!

kool im surprised that you have discus with those fish for the obviuos reason becasue they dont live well with fish ioff other kinds only cardanals and neons as soon as you get a pic off your pic send it me or tell me first plz i havnt seem 1 off them before

The only fish that I regret mixing with the discus are the Silver dollars as they are too boistrous, they eat everything.

Discus aren't really that fussy though thet have a pretty bad rep. You will get the odd really shy one, as I've found ( I had one that wouldn't eat and died) but generally they mix pretty well with other fish.

The thing with that mix that raised my eyebrows is Discus really require much warmer water then a lot of regular trops. I have seen, so often, loaches suffering from O2 depletion at temperatures well below that required by discus for optimum conditions...

What are the symptoms of o2 depletion?
