Ok so after speaking to a few people I think that I may have some stocking issues. No matter how much research I seem to do I always find conflicting opinions on certain species.

So my final stock is as follows:

1x albino bristlenose pleco
1x male betta
1x female betta
3x female pearl gourami
3x tetra neons - these I know need to be rehomed!
3x male guppies
5x female guppies
1x albino shark
1x male apistogramma barlowi
1x female apistogramma barlowi

I have a 130l tank with a few plants, a large bogwood root, rocks, caves etc. It's one of those tall 2ft tanks (aqua one 620T).

Thoughts?

The male betta needs to move. They don't do well with females, gouramis, or guppies. I don't know how he'd be with the apistogramma barlowi either. I use www.aqadvisor.com all the time when I am trying to see which fish are compatable with my tank and each other. Take a look and see.

This is what I got from your current tank stocking (minus the neons), assuming the shark is an albino rainbow shark.

  • Note: Albino Bristlenose Pleco needs driftwood.
  • Note: Betta [Female] can still become aggressive even if she doesn't show aggression right away. Not recommended to be mixed with peaceful community species. Also, they may jump - lids are recommended.
  • Warning: Betta [Female] is not recommended to be with Betta [Male] due to high male aggression.
  • Suggestion: If you want to keep more than 1 Guppy, minimum recommend male to female ratio is 1:2 (M:F). You will be less likely to experience problem if you get even more females.
  • Warning: Guppy is not recommended to be with Betta [Male] - male betta may attack a male guppy by mistake thinking he is another male betta.
  • Note: Rainbow Shark may jump - lids are recommended.
  • Warning: Rainbow Shark is not recommended for your tank - it may eventually outgrow your tank space, potentially reaching up to 6 inches.
  • Note: Betta [Male] may jump - lids are recommended. They can become stressful under presence of too many shoaling species. Try to keep under 1 shoal if the tank is small. Individual bettas may exhibit varying degrees of aggression and care should be taken that exceptionally aggressive/territorial fish be separated from a community before any damage may occur.
  • Warning: Betta [Male] is not recommended to be with Albino Bristlenose Pleco - further research is highly recommended.
  • Warning: Betta [Male] is not recommended to be with Apistogramma borellii - further research is highly recommended.
  • Warning: Betta [Male] is not recommended to be with Betta [Female] - further research is highly recommended.
  • Warning: Betta [Male] will likely to fin nip Guppy.
  • Warning: Betta [Male] is not recommended to be with Guppy - further research is highly recommended.
  • Warning: Betta [Male] is not recommended to be with Pearl Gourami - further research is highly recommended.
  • Warning: Betta [Male] is not recommended to be with Rainbow Shark - further research is highly recommended.

When I remove the male betta, I get this.

Aqua One's website says the 620T has a 62 x 39 cm footprint (that's 24.4 x 15.3 inches). So in addition to what nikkifro says, I would say the tank is not long enough for pearl gouramis or the shark. It may also not be big enough for the bristlenose. The tank has the same footprint as the 90 litre 620. Just because the 620T had more volume because it is taller, it doesn't mean it can accomadate bigger fish than the 620.
