Heh heh. I am stealing your idea for mounting the hood. I have an acrylic lid, which I plan to keep, but especially at this time of year I leave a gap to keep the temp down.

Im quite new to the hobby but your looking for a 20 gal long? I have a 15 gal long. In fact I bought it off ProShrimp they have a huge range of tanks (online ). I bought all my essentials of there infact .

Also the TropCo seem to have a few long setups including a 70 litre don't know much about the brand you might have to ask some of the experts on here .
