Hi, everyone, this is the first fish forum I've joined, everybody seems very nice.
I'm a native Chinese, so please please bear with my English writing.
I start this hobby 3 years ago, since then I addict to it with more and more tanks and fishes. My used to have 10 tanks and more than 100+ fishes in 15+ species.
Unfortunately, I lost 5 tanks and dome of the fishes inside due to a fire disaster in my garage this August.
Don’t ask me the casualties, since I might cry. I did rescue some fishes after the fire was put off. My wife was complaining a lot, since that’s the first thing I did after the fire.
Currently, I live in a rental house with 5 survival tanks and run them in the garage (again?, the landlord won’t let me keep inside the house) like the following:
100 Gal. glass tank (60â€Wx18â€Dx21â€H) – 2x18†silver arowana, 3x5†red parrot, 2x6 and 5x4†clown loach, and 1x8†royal pleco
30 Gal. glass tank (30â€Wx19â€Dx12â€H) – 2x5†common gold fish and 5x2.5†fancy gold fish
30 Gal. glass tank (30â€Wx19â€Dx12â€H) – 3x4†African black knife
20 Gal. glass tank (20â€Wx19â€Dx12â€H) – 15x1†swordtail (breed myself before the fire), 3x1†flowerhorn, and 2x1.5†cory
30 Gal. glass tank (30â€Wx19â€Dx12â€H) – 4x1†swordtail, 7x1†red eye tetra, 2x1.5†zebra danio, 3x1†flame tetra, 4x1.5 serpae tetra, 3x1.5 cory and 1x4†clown pleco
I know it is kind of overstock, but we’re refugees right now, aren’t we?
So, is there any suggestions for my current arrangement or should I swab any fish?
I bought another 3 used tanks lately, 1x150Gal (72â€Wx24â€Dx20â€H), 1x50G (48â€Wx20â€Dx12â€H), and 1x45G (36â€Wx24â€Dx12â€H). I didn’t set them up right now, because we might move back to the old house in next February or so. It’s big big hassle to move too many tanks in one day, right?
Anyway, I'll try to keep everybody posted.
