sup guys i have 60 gallon tank and i just bought a 2 t5 coralife double linear strip with 10,000k daylight and true actinic blue fluorecent lamps, with this be enough to my tank??? and what does 10,000k means?

What wattage are they? What you planning to grow in the tank? Have you read the pinned articles? If this is for plants, then the actinic blue tube I think emits mostly blue light so its going to cause an algae problem. I would change it for a broadspectrum tube.

10,000k is to do with the light temp rating, nicked the following off a quick web search

"Color temperature is frequently used to describe the color quality of light in terms of degrees of Kelvin. The lower the temperature the more yellow and red are found the higher the temperature and the bluer the light will look. 5000 degrees is an average. It is considered to produce reflected or transmitted colors as close to normal sunlight (as is possible)"

Hope this helps, if you want more detailed help we'll need complete tank stats and what you're hoping to do.

its 21 watts each bulb so there should be 84 watts in total... is this enough watts for my tank cuz im planning to put alot of plants... thank u for helping me

How do you get 84w if you've only got 2x21w bulbs?

It also depends on what you want to grow? if you want a carpet of glosso and other demanding plants then you'll need more light than you've got, even if you do have 84w. If you only want easy to grow anubias, java fern and java moss you may find you have enough light, that said if you do have 42w (2x21w) like i think you do then you've only og .66 WPG and thats very low by any standard, even anubais might struggle in that lower light.

Have you read the pinned light article?
