hi sorry. ive read most of the posts here, but still need to ask.
the fish store guy told me java fern were easy to maintain and very tough, so ive got one, and looking to add more plants.. should i look into more java ferns? or some other plants?
i like real plants, and i find myself wanting to grow plants and get some sort of eco system going in there more then i want fish, lol.
oh by the way, my java fern was harbouring some little snails which are now crawling around my tank.. they are weird sideways looking soft shelled little things, and i dont like them very much at all.
i have a 20 gallon tank, the light that came in the hood (is there a difference between regular lights, and plant lights?.. 150 filter.. and heater obviously. gravel on the bottom. and i have some kind of fert that says to put a capfull or two every week. couple plastic plants in there as well, but i dont like them. oh, and a betta fish in there. probably going to add some corys or otos most likely. i dont plan on adding any other tank features.. like this co2 im hearing of. id like to keep it as simple as possible, but i would like more plants.
thanks for help in advance
