Newbie Needs Help With Powerhead Set Up

Hi. I have a 2 week old cycling, jewel vision 180 tank. All I have at the moment is an internal filter, liverock crushed coral substrate and a bit of decore. I have also just put in a hydor koralia 3 powerhead. To be honest i have no Idea about where to put where to aim it and how long it, needs to be on every day. when ready my tank will be fish and inverterbre only. No Reef. Thanks for time.

you really want to aim for about 20x tank volume in flow. Most people seem to aim them to get as much flow around their live rock as they can and one to break the surface

experiment, you want to aim for water movement in as much as the tank as possible, just keep adjusting till you get it right, any more specific advice is impossible i'm afraid

no need for as much as 20x, 10x-15x if fine for FOWLR but as mentioned, make sure there is surface agitation
