Newbie Needing Expert Advice

Hi there,

I am new to all this aquarium malrke.

We have just purchased an aquarium and have got 5 Zebra Danios. After testing the H2O and it was all ok we added somemore fish. (Cannot remember the name of them but here is a brief description):

We have three quite fat looking orange fish, no patterns and likes the pump outlet.

The next we bought 4 fish that are black all over has a silver face and fin and has a orange/red lining on the bottom fin.

Now, the black fish has gone down to just two, they just dissapeared, has anyone got any ideas to what has happened??

Secondly, the Danios are quite aggressive is theis correct or are they just playing with the other fish?

Could do with a bit more info.

1. Pictures of fish so we can work out exactly what species they are. Link in sig for how to do this.
2. Tank capacity.
3. What is the period of time over which you have added the fish and how long have you waited between each addition.
4. Can you give us readings for ammonia, nitrite and pH.
5. Tank temp.
6. How did you cycle the tank before fish were put in?

How carefully have you checked for the missing fish? Bodies can get into the most unlikely of places. Most likely is that they have died and been eaten by your other fish.

Welcome Iain. As JonesyUK said, we need to get a bit of perspective on the fish you have and the tank you are keeping them in. It would help, a lot if you could give us some pictures of your fish or name them properly. It would also help us help you if you could give us some information about the tank, how long it has been set up, what you have done so far etc..
