Thanks everyone! I'm pretty new to keeping fish, I've had Betta's in the past but I have loads to learn! I'm hoping to get a 10 gallon tank in the next month or so, so I figured I should start learning now.

If you can afford to and have the space, get as big a tank as possible. It leaves more room for error and opens up your stocking options a lot.

That's what I was thinking. 10 gallons is the smallest I want, but if I manage to find a good deal on a larger one (and I can find room) I'll probably do that
