Hi guys! I’m new here so I'll get to the point, I got a Fan tail and a black moor 24 hours ago, they are in the same tank, the fan tail is very active all the time, but the black moor is kind of moping at the bottom of the tank, its active on occasions but mostly seems inactive and feeds from the bottom of the tank, is this normal? I think the fan tail may be picking on the moor a bit.

Yeah its normal. What size of tank u have? The balckmoor arent so active fish only during feeding.

hello and welcome to the hobby and to TFF :hi:

any fish sulking is not normal, how did you set the tank up before adding fish, if you just set it up and added fish, or were told to leave it a week or two before adding fish then I'm afraid you probably have poor water quality which is stressing out the fish. You should have a read of this topic which may help.

If you already know that and you've fishless cycled then please excuse me, but i'd rather say too much than too little. :)

Yeh although it a "quieter" fish it shouldn't be sulking at the bottom of the tank.

Yep black moors are more quite fish they should still swim around up higher like from the middle to top.

What is your temperature in the tank?
What size tank do you have?
How long has the tank been setup?
