newb to plants.

Hi.

Im new to plants an i want to try it. i have a 10gal set up from walmart. i already have 2 melon swords an 2 other odd plants i got that have really long plants that came in a seed package from walmart... i have a breeding pair of otos a pair of albino corys an 1 male betta. an i was wondering what kinda plants i should get an where i should buy them. links to a site that sells or is about the plant would be great.

well i jus looked up the 2 plants i didnt know about an they are Aponogeton ulvaceus ... not sure if thats a common name or a scienific name. help with a common name(if that isnt it) would be nice.
 
I've heard good things about aquariumplants.com, but it costs alot to get them delivered. Instead of buying online or at Wal-Mart, have you checked out any local fish stores? I'm sure they'd really appreciate your business more than Wal-Mart would and also would give you more precise and accurate information on what you're looking for.

There are many types of Aponogetons in the package. I must have thrown it away accidentally but there's a good variety in there along with some tiger lotus bulbs which are fabulous.
 
no. our pet shop doesnt sell any thing the lady there is a retard. heres what they have in the way of live stuff. bout 50 vieltail bettas. a tank overstolked an bewond with gold fish. 2 bearded dragons.(one shes not even selling) an a leo gecko. an she over charges on everything. i cant stand going there.
 
well its not really an lfs. i jus put lfs cuz for some reason it seems easier to type. but ya unless i can find some one to drive me to St. Josophe missouri thats like 30 mins away but has great pet an fish shops. but ya walmart is kinda the lfs...i know thats sad but hey what can i do...i do kinda wanna run an lfs or work in one when i get older :D would be sooo kewl ! :D
