New Too Plants

well I have had plants before in my tank but the all died off then I just replace them

But I have now bought the co2 natural plant system, which is working well but the thing is I have crystal clear carbon filter in my filter, so would I have to take this out

I think the carbon just removes meds and can remove tannins from bogwood, not sure if it would have any effect on co2 levels.

Carbon shouldnt remove CO2 but is does remove trace elements like iron, which the plants need to grow. Most if not all planted tanks dont have carbon for this reason.
