New To The Hobby

hello everyone!
 
About 8 months ago I inhireted a 29 gallon community tank with 6 giant danios, 1 rainbow shark, 1 clown pleco, 2 african dwarf frogs, 1 apple snail, and 6 ghost shrimp. I am thorougly enjoying my time as an amatuer "aquarist" and hope to extend my knowledge of this rewarding past-time through the forums! Nice to meet y'all!

This is pretty much how the aquarium looked when I inherited it. I added the caves. I am really eager to get this converted to a low-tech planted setup and would LOVE some tips or suggestions!

Hi there and welcome to the forums! 
 
I'm a new guy myself (ya prolly actually have more experience then I do on this site and with aquariums, it sounds like), but I can say everyone I've met on here is super friendly and helpful.  They've been helping me figure out the whole first-time aquarium stuff and have saved me a lot of hassle. 
 
Also, fair warning, they like pictures!  *laughs*  I need to get a camera or something other then my old "brick" phone that'll actually take 'em without being a pixelated disaster.    Anywho... welcome again!
