so i have been fish keeping for many years, only freshwater and i have a 149L tank with 18 fish - 7x serpae tetra 6x rosy barb and 5x albino cory's.

i am thinking about buying some new fish, large fish that stand out, not sure what tho? any idea's?

i have a 36"x21"x12" tank which is well planted with a sand substrate.

thanks

Hi Warrey, welcome to the forum!

How about adding a pair of Dwarf Gouramis, Kribensis or Bolivian Rams? Maybe even a Bristlenose Plec too? The males are pretty ugly but I quite like mine.

Bear in mind Kribs could become aggressive if they ended up breeding though!

I'm looking forward to the photo

My wife complains about how ugly my BN pleco is, yet she always asks me to help her find him when she's looking at the tank.  I love my BN pleco, but since he's become an adult he is far less visible.  BN pleco's wouldn't really fit the bill as a "large fish that stands out".  I really love my BN pleco.

Another large fish option would be a Keyhole cichlid.

I kind of meant to go along with my suggestions :)

I always find myself looking for mine, he's not doing anything most of the time but when he is it's just great to watch!

Most definitely.
