yes we just started to cycle my 45 gallon tank and was wondering we really love the barbs once tank is cycled how many would you guys start with in a new tank ?
also thinking adding one red tail shark
is there any other fish that goes good with barbs since I read there such torments to most fish as being nippers
think going with besides redtail tigers an green barbs
any info be great thanks

Saying "Barbs" is like saying I drive a Cadillac - there are various different species of barbs, some are nippy, some aren't.

I suspect you are meaning tiger barbs, which are notoriously nippy. "Green" barbs are a colour morph of the tiger barb, genetically the same, just with different colouration. Assuming you are doing the fishless cycle, as per the article elsewhere on this site, using bottled ammonia, I would start with a group of 8 tiger barbs (which could be any mix of standard, green and albino).

sorry I ment tiger barbs an green that's all they have here as of now I like cherry ones too maybe later
are redtails sharks get along? any others first
just love how the tigers act and shoals of them deff a fav

red tailed sharks require alot of space due to their movement around the tank and are highly territorial

would I be able to have neon tetras I know there small is what worries me I like colors in fish an schools
what would be some good ideas for bottom an top since barbs are mid?
really enjoy watching sharks patrol the bottom like a pitbul in a junk yard lol
but if yas think 45 to small then I guess gonna have to go to something else
