Hi all.

I would like to say that my tank has been running for YEARS, is VERY stable and highly over filter.

I ended up with a friends Cichlids as he moved and could no longer keep them. Plan was I was going to use his 110g tank, But en route his truch was rear ended smashing the tank to a million pieces. Everyone is ok, only casualty was one bag with 3 small common plecos)
So I have the following in my tank right now.

5 demasoni, one is ~3" one is 2" and a bit, and three under an inch, and he isn't actually sure they are demasoni, one is white.
2 Jewels, one is 4" the other is 3.5"
2 that look like gold rams almost, but not quite. both about 2.5"

And then I have 6 serpea tetras, 3 cardnals, one rummy nose, and 4 or 5 khuli's
And the 2 algae shrimp I can not find this morning, they were large though as they were almost 3 years old.
I do not expect any of these fish to survive, and am ok with that.

So now my question,

I have lots of bog wood in my tank, and i know it makes the water softer, but is it bringing my ph down too? its 7.6 which from what I can tell is a bit low for cichlids.

Will these fish be ok together in the smaller tank for a few months, probably won't have the funds for a large tank till Christmas.

And would I be ok to add 2 red zebra's? both male? He has them in his office tank, but its the offices tank, he doesn't want to leave them there. They are about 2" each.

Removing the community fish would be fine with me, I would give them to a friend with his Arowana(SP??) as I guess a snack, unless they stay in the rocks away from him.

Lastly would a Red lizard catfish be ok in this tank? LFS has some in and they are very neat.

Thanks,

EDIT:

Oh, and what could I add to this tank that is more of a top swimmer? Could I add a small Arowana? They are cheap when small. And when I say this tank I more mean once I move them all to a probably 150 gallon tank in a few months. And the Arowana would be given away once it reaches probably 8-10"

Well the fish you have are African cichlids but the ram is South American. the demasoni and jewl like hard water don't lower the ph. Ask thins in the African section. post some photos. If you have a ram rehome him he will not do well with Africans.

Arowanas are not small and would not mix well with cichlids. They are pricey fish.
