Hi Guys,

I am finally upgrading my tank. I'm moving into my own home in a couple of months and thought it would be the ideal time to get one, plus the fact I have a little more space.
What did I get? Well I'm going to collect it tomorrow, a Juwel Rio 125 litre, in beech. I won an Ebay auction to get it, well my partner, did which was a great suprise  Got it for a good price aswell, £75 with an external filter that the current owner fitted to it
I can't wait to see it, and I'll post some pictures in the gallery on Friday. I shall not be setting it up till I am in the house, which will be in May, so I'll be on here asking a little advice no doubt and stocking recommendations.

Had to just share the happiness with others who would understand :D

how many gallons is it.Cant wait too see it!what tyoes of fish do you like?Do you like lots of littleones or afew big ones?

I would suggets moving the angels and clown loach in it as they will outgrow a 55 litre tank in no time!

Great deal you got though. Hope you enjoy your tank!!

Are you going to move the fish you have now into it?

Sounds like it was a good deal too :)

congrats on the new tank!

hope all moves (yours and the fishes!) goes well.

Thanks for your good wishes.

The angels have already outgrown my tank and will be moving to the new tank as will the clown loach. I think 125litres equates to about 30-35 gallons, not really sure.
I would like to have some smaller fish, neons and cardinals, and go for something more planted than what I have at the moment. I would like some rainbow fish aswell. I'm not sure that one of my angels will make it :( It has been acting odd for about a week now, it's lying on its site most of the time at the back of the tank and appears to be gasping. It doesn't look damaged and all my other fish are fine. So just a little sad about it really.
Slight change of plan, going to collect the tank now. :) I'm excited!

Do a water change for the angel. You may find this as the problem.

I have the tank :D It's lovely, and appears to have been looked after well.

It needs a bit of clean and was wondering what should I clean it out with, should I just use warm water and a clean sponge?

I've already done a water change a couple of days ago Syliva and the angel hasn't really changed. I shall be really upset if he dies. My other angel appears to be almost pining already, it keeps going and sitting next to it

Anyway I'll keep you posted.

Steph

So guys, how would you advise that I clean the tank. Is it ok to use soapy water then make sure it has a good rinse?

Cheers

Steph

bigfish this is just my second tank. The one I have was my first and have had it three years. I can't wait to set up this new one. My boyfriend thinks I should go for a marine fish setup, but I'm not sure yet. I'm quite happy with tropicals but would love to try marine and so will be doing a little research before I go ahead.
I thought that would be the answer Paul_MTS. :)
