Just picked up a new (used) tank. It will be setup outside in my BBQ area as the new home for the goldies. This tank will be unfiltered, and will be getting a solar pond pump @ some stage to give it some surface movement.
There will be driftwood and plants added. Substrate will be sand :)

Few things gotta happen before it is ready to be setup

1/ It needs a REALLY good clean, and i mean much elbow grease involved!

2/ New piece of foam to go under it needs to be purchased

3/ A stand of some type will need to be built to lift it up high enough so the dog doesnt drink out of it lol (or worse try to climb in it!)

Once i've given it a clean i'll post a pic of it and more pics will come as it develops :)

Yet another tank! Haha just kidding just me being jealous :p

Look forward to seeing end result

Yeppers and it was a bargain price, gotta love a bargain :D

This is going to be the centerpiece at this stage

You can never say no to a bargain!

That piece of wood is amazing! How big is the tank?

The tank is 2ft x 2ft x 2ft = approx 227L = approx 60gal

The piece of wood is 18" (was 2ft originally, as seen in this pic lol, but had to cut it to get into one of my other tanks years ago)

Nice wood! Looking forward to seeing what you do with this tank!

Picked up some foam for it today. Will shortly head out armed with razor blades, scrubbers and vinegar to give it a good scrub up

Well didnt get out to scrub it today, something else popped up, so hopefully tomorrow i can get it done!

There will be a before and after pic, hopefully it will come up nice

Looking forward to the next update! :)

The tank is in place and wet. Goldies are in and loving the extra space. The wood hopefully wont take too long to sink and then i can begin scaping the tank. The substrate will be black gravel. Decor will include, the wood obviously, some rocks and both fake and live plants. On the top of the tank i will be adding 2 peace lillies, their roots will be in the tank water (hydroponics type thing). I hope to at some stage also setup a top sump that i can plants some more hydroponics type plants

My dog is absolutely fascinated with the fish lol. Nothing exciting as yet but here it is now

I found unhappy fish today. Added some gravel, they loved this i think the tank was just too bright (morning sun), i also tossed in an internal filter to give the tank a bit of movement until i can pick up a solar one. As soon as the gravel went in, they started swimming around happily

Wood is getting lower in the water, so a few more days and it'll start to go under
