Hi, I am very new to fish keeping. I have a 60L Biorb tank which I set up on the 28th Dec. I added the stress coat and 24h later the stress zyme. I also added a water heater. I tested the PH today and it is 8.5. Is this ok? will the pH change or do I need to do something? I tested my tapwater which also has a PH of 8.5!

8.5 is quite high, so you should avoid any very soft, acidic water loving fish, as they won't do well.

It's not worth trying to change the pH if it's high, as that is normally caused be having hard water, and it will bounce back to a higher pH very quickly; a stable pH level is far more important than the actual number.

How are you inteding to cycle? There are some great articles in our beginner's resource centre (the link is in my sig) which would be a great place for you to start :good:

Oh, and :hi: to the forum!
