Hi All
I have purchased another tank it's a aquatropic 80 110Lt started setting it up, base is a mixture of silver sand and fine gravel, in different areas on top of under base medium.
I got a nice lump of bog wood from my LFS "Maidenhead aquatics" the wood is very dry and dusty I have it soaking in a bucket of water do I need to do anything else to it, like give it a good scrub.
My intention is to have a couple of platinum angels about inch and half top to base fins and a couple of golden Gouramis two inch nose to tail, what else would this tank support?

Hi sounds like a nice scape you have already :) I would get the wood scrubbed a little and start to soak it.

Stocking, in a 110 liter tank I think 2 Angels and 2 Gold Gouramis wont work, all of them are big fish and 110 liters is probably border line acceptable for each species. I had a trio of Gold/Opaline Gourami with a pair of Angelfish in a 4 foot tank and it was a nightmare I had to split them up and rehome the Gourami in the end.

I would make a decision as to which you would rather go with. Though I have to admit I dont think either are fantastically suited to this size tank.

When your working out the fish you want to add to the tank you have to plan for their adult sizes Angelfish in good conditions will reach adult size in under a year IME

If your into Golden Gourami what about Honey Gourami? There are not really any alternatives for Angels in shape they are unique but if you like platinum fish there are quite a few fish that have been bred to have the same look and some like Platinum Halfbeaks for example? There are a variety of tetras that have a platinum look and I believe there is even a platinum tiger barb now.
